Chiampo Paglierino is an historic marble extracted form quarries located in the North of Italy, near Vicenza. This marble has been widely used in the past, for churches and noble palaces, especially in the local construction industry. The quarries of the Chiampo Valley have a good production, even if the request of this marble lowered in the last years. The blocks of Chiampo are mainly cut in the sense of the vein and the slabs need to be selected. They are divided into three selections: Paglierino, Rosato, Ondagata Viola. Chiampo Paglierino is a marble suitable for indoor and outdoor floorings. Usually the slabs do not need to be resined. The main finishing used for the indoor applications is the polished one which values the background color, while for outdoor applications all the raw finishings can be adoped.
